There are plenty of potential issues or pitfalls to do with company registration in Thailand.  Whilst I am not a business owner I do have experience of working for foreign based companies in Thailand who have fallen foul or failed to follow the complete rules involved with company registration in Thailand so please allow me to tell you my story.  The company was a small marketing firm that I had not even heard of and so that did not really bode well to start with, the entire outfit was running out of an office on one of the main streets of Bangkok.  Essentially everything was good and I enjoyed the job and made lots of friends but I knew a few things were amiss based on the fact that I had been employed, with a work permit no less, without having any formal university education.  The (more...)

Did you know that Thailand is actually one of the most successful countries in Asia based on the GDP growth of the past few years?  Any country whose GDP grows shows signs of a healthy, successful and sustainable economy and it also shows that business is open to all and that they encourage foreign trading and foreign companies but those who are looking to register a company in Thailand always need to be aware that they first of all need to have all required funding needed to prove that the company can be ran for a desired period of time and that the company has also been registered by the Department of Business Development. There are many different types of companies in the world that can be registered and this applies to everywhere and not just in Thailand.  For example in the UK most companies are a PLC which is known as a public limited company.  Company registration in Thailand is usually for a limited company in some area and you can always tell a foreign based company as it will have a ‘(Thailand)’ prefix after the company name.  This is to signify this is the Thai branch and that the company has offices elsewhere in the world.   Please click here For our full information & services fees for Company registration in Thailand For those who are unaware most companies in Thailand are also registered as a PLC as well.  In this case though it is a private limited company.  A company of this (more...)

Thailand has one of the most of Asia’s most successful economies in terms of GDP and between 2000 – 2008 the country managed a four percent growth which is nothing to be sneezed at and is quite an achievement considering Thailand is still classed to many and in the eyes of many as a developing country.  The growth cannot be put down to one single thing but surely the amount of foreign investment played a major part.   Please click here For our full information & services fees for Company registration in Thailand   But who can own their own business in Thailand and is it really as complex as you fear it may be?  The answer to that is quite mixed.  Company registration in Thailand can be something of a complex process and you need to provide documents for every area of (more...)
